Online~One on one classes to teach beginners how to paint in watercolor and gouache.
This class is great for hobbyists, children and artists seeking to create professional finished paintings.
Classes are $25 per hour (paid ahead of time) and are tailored to your specific needs. I will work to improve any areas you may feel need attention including drawing, color theory and composition; however our primary focus will be painting.
Supplies I recommend before starting are;
1. Watercolor Sketchbook for painting exercises.
2.Pan of watercolors and white gouache; I recommend Meeden watercolors, or Winsor and Newton Cotman. (Professional Grade: Daniel Smith or Winsor and Newton Profesional)
3.Watercolor paper; Strathmore Watercolor 300GSM or Professional Grade: Arches Cold Press
4.Watercolor brushes; a flat 1” Royal and Langnickel multimedia brush, #12 watercolor round brush (Professional: Princeton Aqua Elite) and a #2 liner brush
5.Extras: Watercolor pan (any will do), paper towel, cup of water, backing board and artist tape.
6.An easel or anything used to angle your paper
